How to write a blog

Blogs feature of the GameApollo.com lets you express yourself in a way that no other feature on the site allows you. This means that you can post just about anything. It also means that you can use a less formal language.
Unlike other blogging sites, this one is not here so you could post ten words every now and then that describe whatever you were feeling like at the moment you wrote it.
Blogs should be usefull to the community, either by describing games or the latest technology, by bringing humour into the life of our users or by letting others know more about you, the gamer.

There are a lot of annoying blogs out there written by teenagers who complain about their lives with senteces that a 5 year old could write better. It doesn't matter if English is not your primary language or if you are not very good at it. As long as you are trying, it is ok.

Here is a list of things you should avoid.

Complaining about random stuff with poorly formed sentences

Bad: My teacher gave us ton of homework today. Bwahha, i hate homework..... bad....... btw I met Jessica today.

Good: My teacher gave us a ton of homework today. I thing that this is bad because they are forcing us too hard and that can have an opposite effect. Well, at least there is good thing, I met Jessica and she agrees with me on this.

Avoid using your friends names, or any other personal detail that might help others locate you or your friend in real life, or that could later be used against you.

Don't spam

Don't link to porn, warez or otherwise illegal sites in United States or your country.

Don't insult people from other countries, people who have different beliefs or in any way attack a person or a group of people.

When writing negative opinions on something, explain why you think it is bad.

You can use words like crap, shit and fuck but don't cross the line and use words that name sexual organs in a bad way or otherwise insult people.

Don't post anything that violates Game Apollo terms of use or United States laws in any way.

If you are using words like crap, shit and fuck, it would be nice to warn others by adding a warning on the top.
