Sid Meier's Pirates is a 1987 computer game developed and published by MicroProse. The game simulates the life of a pirate during the golden age of piracy (16th, 17th and 18th century) in the Spanish Main.
The game is a single-player game in which the player takes the role of a privateer, but can choose to turn to piracy at any given time.
Pirates! were a very popular game in their time. A remake of the game was released in 2004 and was also named Sid Meier's Pirates (2004).

System Requirements are not applicable because the game was released for PC, Commodore64, Atari, Apple II and other platforms of the time which are no longer in use.
