Some info about Game Apollo

The purpose of Game Apollo is to help grow gaming communities by offering our users a way of social networking and easier information exchange. We have a growing database of video games that is planned to be an encyclopedia of video games with information and articles.

Currently our network consist of two sites, Game Apollo – the main site, and GameMediaHR.com (in development). GameMediaHR.com will be a gaming site with gaming media (screenshots and videos) for Croatian market.

List of features on GameApollo.com include:

News

The news section aims to deliver latest gaming and tech news to our users. The news are written by our staff members.

User blogs and reviews

By submitting reviews people can share their personal opinions on video games.

Blogs are a way for people to express their thoughts about gaming and tech related subjects. Only “on topic” subjects are allowed.

Both features are monitored by our staff to ensure the quality of content and prevent the usual spam that can be found on most blogging services.

Game Feeds

Game Feeds is a web directory where people can leave links to other pages on the web with interesting content. All links are monitored by staff to prevent linking to web sites with illegal content.

MyHome

MyHome is a personal start page available to every registered user. From here, users can write reviews and blogs and manage their profile. When a user adds a game to his favorites our system automatically finds latest trailers and news that might be of interest to the user based on the video games the user has added to their favorites.

Mod Videos

A picture is worth a thousand of words. When this is multiplied with 25 frames per second it results in a lot of information. Mod videos, like screenshots present video game mods in action. Gamers can see if a modification is worth downloading by checking out the mod videos.[2]

Mobile

The mobile version of our site aims to deliver latest news and game information to user’s mobile devices. Numerous times we’ve been in situation when someone asks us something about a video game that we didn’t know. Now, people will be able to check for game information and cheats when no internet connection is otherwise available.

Planned feature of our mobile service will include blog posts and short personal notes that can later be viewed on the desktop computer.
